&body=Arbor Court is a nine-unit apartment complex that blends into an established residential neighborhood. We accomplished this by using several techniques. We reduced the scale of the project by addressing the street with two separate building facades, and by adding small elements such as bays and balconies. We minimized the impact of the buildings by preserving several mature trees, adding landscaping and using a subdued palette of stained wood siding. Apartment entries and kitchens look out onto a common central court, green with trellises and climbing vines, and each unit has a private deck or patio overlooking shared garden areas.&
