&body=We created a small village shopping street on an intimate scale within the volume of a former supermarket. A wandering path provides sight lines to storefronts farther along the way and gives the shopping experience a leisurely air. The design gives each shop a clear identity with unique shapes and window and door locations. At the same time, a consistent character is established through the use of common materials, forms and signage. Large windows encourage boutique browsing, and new skylights create pools of light, which draw people down this friendly neighborhood walkway.&
