&body=Standing beside a lagoon on San Francisco Bay, this remodel refocused the house toward the rear yard and the lagoon. Adding six feet to the back of the house and creating a balance between two wings added more patio space. An extended kitchen features new cabinetry, black granite countertops, and a large cooking island. Midroom light is drawn in from the glass-block backsplash behind the cook top, and tall corner windows at the sink. A breakfast table is tucked in a corner window, all the better to enjoy the view of the lagoon. Also remodeled were the master bedroom and bath.&
